March: A Round

frog calls to rain
rain calls to roots
roots lash tree onto land

spade sings to rock
rock splits to sand
sand sifts water under sun

wind finds the brow
dirt finds the hand
thumb splits the paper seed packet

seeds find the wind
petals paper grass
deer crop small weed salads

vines wrap the rose
hands pull the weeds
weeds throw tender tendril ropes
